Issue with live streaming cost and how it's not affordable for developing countries.

The cost of live video streaming has been an issue for those living in developing countries like Indonesia, or India, where the cost of running live streaming for 1 hour with 100 viewers is the same with ~2 big macs. To show you the difference between big mac prices in different countries, these are how it looks like.

Big Mac Prices

  • United States $5.15
  • Indonesia $2.34
  • India $2.39

Taken from

Comparison pricing between live streaming vendors.

Most live streaming services use minutes of views as their price unit. We're doing things differently. If they charge you $xx per minute view, they are charging you for the highest video resolution and bandwidth cost.

But in developing countries where most people use cheap phones with low-quality screens, they'll watch lower-resolution videos to save on internet data. That's why it's fair to charge our service using bandwidth usage. This way, you only pay for what you use.
